Gold prices rise Rs 5900 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices surged in Pakistan on Friday, tracking gains in the international market.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 5,900 to be recorded at Rs 440,936. The price of 10 grams of 24k gold rose by Rs 5,058 to Rs 378,031, while 10 grams of 22k gold was priced at Rs 346,541, up Rs 4,637.

In the international market, gold rose by $59 to $4,184 per ounce.

Silver also moved up. The price of 24k silver per tola increased by Rs 144 to Rs 6,512, and 10 grams of silver rose by Rs 123 to Rs 5,582. International silver was quoted at $60.34 per ounce, up $1.44.
