Gold prices surge in Pakistan on Friday
KARACHI: Gold prices recorded a sharp increase in Pakistan on Friday, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The rate of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs 3,000 to reach Rs 430,436. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed Rs 2,572 to Rs 369,029, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up Rs 2,357 to Rs 338,288.
Internationally, gold gained $30 to trade at $4,080 per ounce.
Silver also posted gains, with per tola price rising Rs 79 to Rs 6,294 and 10 grams increasing Rs 68 to Rs 5,396. International silver was up $0.79 at $58.15 per ounce.
