DOHA (News Desk): Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan inaugurated the Export Display Centre in Doha on Wednesday, marking a significant initiative aimed at promoting Pakistani products, enhancing their visibility in the Qatari market and creating new opportunities for Pakistani exporters.
The Export Display Centre is intended to serve as a dedicated platform for showcasing a wide range of Pakistani products and facilitating greater engagement between Pakistani exporters and potential buyers, importers and distributors in Qatar. Officials said the initiative is expected to support efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s commercial presence in the Qatari market and explore new avenues for sustainable export growth.
Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Minister highlighted the importance of promoting Pakistani products in international markets and strengthening business-to-business linkages to expand the country’s export potential. He said the government is focused on market diversification and providing practical support to exporters to increase their access to high-potential markets in the Gulf region.
He noted that Qatar is an important trading partner for Pakistan and offers considerable scope for enhancing trade in sectors including food products, textiles, handicrafts, furniture, construction materials and services.
During his visit, Jam Kamal Khan also held an interactive meeting with members of the Pakistani business community based in Qatar, discussing opportunities to enhance bilateral trade, facilitate commercial partnerships and increase the market presence of Pakistani goods.

Participants shared their experiences and suggestions for improving trade facilitation and promoting Pakistani brands in Qatar.
The Minister underscored the importance of the overseas Pakistani business community in promoting Pakistan’s products abroad and contributing to stronger economic relations with host countries. He appreciated their role as a bridge between the two markets and encouraged them to play a more active role in promoting Pakistan’s export interests.
The inauguration of the Export Display Centre and engagement with the Pakistani business community formed part of Pakistan’s broader efforts to expand its export footprint, strengthen private-sector cooperation and further enhance trade and economic ties with Qatar.
