Karachi traders welcome Naqvi’s proposal for new provinces at Economic Summit
KARACHI: The All City Traders Alliance Association has welcomed Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s proposal at the Economic Summit in Islamabad to create new provinces and administrative units in Pakistan.
Patron-in-Chief of the association, Sharjeel Goplani said the majority of the business community supports the minister’s views. He noted that if new units are formed to ensure better governance, improved public service delivery, and equitable distribution of resources, the move could strengthen the country’s administrative system and deliver positive results.
However, he stressed that creating new units alone is not enough. Leadership of these units must be given to honest, capable and patriotic individuals committed to national interest.
The Association pledged principled support for the proposal, urging that any future decisions align with constitutional requirements and public welfare.
