Pakistan Cement Exports Drop 30% in July Despite 6% Rise in Total Sales

KARACHI: Pakistan’s cement exports plunged 29.95% year-on-year to 705,341 tons in July 2026, compared to 1.007 million tons in July 2025, data from All Pakistan Cement Manufacturer Association (APCMA) showed.

The decline was led by the north zone, which recorded zero exports during the month against 231,985 tons last year. South zone exports also fell 8.98% to 705,341 tons from 774,966 tons.

Despite weak exports, total cement sales grew 6.02% YoY to 4.476 million tons, supported by a 17.28% jump in domestic dispatches to 3.771 million tons.

APCMA said high duties and taxes are hurting competitiveness abroad and urged the government to provide relief to revive exports.
