The market remained volatile during the day as investors responded to changing trading sentiments, with the benchmark index moving between a high of 166,990 points and a low of 165,585 points.

Despite intraday fluctuations, buying activity towards the close helped the market maintain its positive momentum, allowing the benchmark index to finish higher.

Out of 568 companies traded, share prices of 319 companies declined, while 137 recorded gains. The prices of the remaining companies remained unchanged.
